Freezing rain warning in effect tonight
A freezing rain warning is in effect for tonight.
Environment Canada says that up to 5 millimeters of ice accretion is expected, with snowfall amounts reaching 5 centimeters in some areas before the transition to freezing rain. Winds could gust near 50 km/h, adding to the risk of tree damage.
The forecaster adds that while this won’t be as severe as last weekend’s ice storm, roads, sidewalks, and parking lots could become icy and slippery. Conditions will improve as temperatures rise above freezing overnight.
