Councilors Do An About Face On Treasure Island Vote
There was a full house at Huntsville’s Town Council meeting on Monday night. Some of the gallery were there to see if the Town would pass the requested zoning bylaw amendment at Treasure Island on Lake Waseosa from a conservation zone to a shoreline residential zone with exceptions.
During the recent Development Services Committee meeting Deputy Mayor Terziano and Councillor Alcock had both voted in favour of the amendment. After consideration they both changed their votes to No.
It was a unanimous vote, with all of council opposing the development.
