District Warns Of Temporary Parking Closures On Main St In Huntsville
The District of Muskoka is warning of the closure of all parking on Main St in Huntsville and lane reductions next Wednesday, May 20th.
The District says that all street parking on both sides of Main Street from Lorne Street to the Bridge will be unavailable until Thursday morning, May 21st. Sidewalks will remain open and pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained for curbside pickups.
During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane as ground penetrating radar work takes place to assist in the design for the Main Street Upgrades and Streetscaping project
Public parking lots remain available and accessible/
The work is being done as part of the Streetscape project for 2021 and is being done to detect plastic, fiber optic, cable TV lines, water and concrete sewer lines, etc. The main focus of the work to identify bedrock elevations.
