Gravenhurst resident honoured with Ontario Volunteer Service Award

Gravenhurst Mayor Heidi Lorenz, speaking on behalf of the council, announced on Friday that local resident Judy Humphries has been honored with an Ontario Volunteer Service Award.
Humphries received this recognition for her dedicated contributions to the Gravenhurst Municipal Heritage Committee and the Gravenhurst Archives.
The award presentation took place in Huntsville recently, where Mayor Lorenz expressed her privilege in nominating Judy for this prestigious provincial award.
She thanked Judy for her substantial efforts in preserving the community's history through her leadership in the heritage committee since 2011 and as chair of the Gravenhurst Archives since 2015.
