Lakeland working to restore power to 7100 customers in the Bracebridge area
Lakeland Power crews are working to restore power to approximately 7,100 homes and businesses in Bracebridge following widespread outages caused by the ice storm.
The priority is addressing emergencies and restoring service to areas with the highest number of customers. Additional support crews are expected to begin assisting tomorrow as more resources become available.
Due to the scale of the outages, estimated restoration times are not yet available. Customers can check the outage map at outages.lakelandpower.on.ca or text Lakeland to 1-833-867-3777 for updates.
Residents are reminded to report any dangerous situations, such as trees on power lines. If the issue is life-threatening, call 911. Otherwise, contact Lakeland Power through their website, by text at 705-996-4518, or by calling 888-282-7711 and selecting option 1.
