With the long weekend approaching, the OPP in Central Region are ramping up efforts to keep everyone safe. Officers are reminding residents and visitors to prioritize safety on roads, trails, and waterways.
Key tips include:
Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs and Report any suspected impaired drivers to 9-1-1.
Always use seatbelts, helmets, and lifejackets.
OPP says speeding contributes to many accidents, so stay within posted limits.
And slow down and move over for emergency vehicles with activated lights.
