Mr Peanut Dies Tragically
The tributes are pouring in after the death of Mr. Peanut, the beloved mascot of Planters Peanuts who died after the Nut-mobile flew off a road side cliff.
The 104 year old nut selflessly gave his life after he and his 2 co-hosts were found hanging off a branch cliff-side that could only support the weight of two. The nut sacrificed his life by letting go and plummeting to his death to save his friends.
However, the planned media circus around the death that was to be carried out on Superbowl Sunday was promptly cancelled following the death of basketball superstar Kobe Bryant as the company re-evaluated the campaign looking “through a lens of sensitivity”.
Still the demise of Mr. Peanut was met with tributes from other brand mascots including the Nesquik bunny tearing up, and Oscar Mayer tweeting that “Mr. Peanut, you’re gone too soon. You rode the hot dog highways with us in the Nutmobile and were always there when we needed some nutty advice”
