Ontario positions waterbombers for possible deployment to L.A.

MPP Graydon Smith’s office announced yesterday that the province is preparing to assist California with wildfire efforts if requested.
Two CL-415 waterbombers will leave Dryden for Abbotsford, BC, today to be pre-positioned for deployment.
Additionally, an incident management team, fire suppression equipment, and 165 structural firefighters are on standby for immediate response.
The request for aid has not yet come, but Ontario is ready to assist through the Canadian Interagency Forest Fires Centre.
