Truck driver charged after hitting emergency vehicles

Bracebridge OPP provided an update on the collision investigation that closed Highway 11 North near North Kahshe Lake Road in Gravenhurst.
On Tuesday, at 7:45 p.m., OPP responded to a vehicle that had flipped on its side. Shortly after, a transport truck struck one of the police vehicles and a tow truck, injuring the tow truck operator, who was later transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The officers were not in the police vehicle at the time and were uninjured.
A 32-year-old driver of the transport truck from Winnipeg has been charged with Careless Driving and Fail to Move Over for Emergency Vehicle or Tow Truck.
OPP remind drivers to slow down and provide safe space for emergency vehicles.
