83 year-old Huntsville man dies after collision

Officers from the Huntsville O.P.P. are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 117, in the Township of Lake of Bays.
On October 8, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Huntsville O.P.P. responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 117, near Brunel Road. One driver, an 83 year-old man from Huntsville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Highway 117 near Brunel Road was closed for several hours while the O.P.P. Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists assisted with the investigation.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact the O.P.P.
