New EV charging station in Sundridge

A new Lakeland EV Charging station has opened on Water Street in Sundridge, at Lion’s Park. The station features a fast 180kW charger, offering up to 100 km of range in just 10 minutes, along with a more affordable 30kW charger for longer stays.
Peter Ewald, Director of Lakeland Solutions, emphasized the importance of strategically placing chargers to encourage EV use across the Muskoka and Parry Sound regions.
The initiative is partially funded by Natural Resources Canada's Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
Sundridge Councillor Fraser Williamson welcomed the station, noting it will attract visitors and support a greener future.
