Bracebridge Fire Department reminds you to have functional smoke alarms.
The Town of Bracebridge says that from October 6th to 12th, Bracebridge Fire are recognizing Fire Prevention Week, focusing on the theme “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!”
The initiative aims to educate the community on the importance of having functional smoke alarms at home.
Key safety tips include installing alarms in every bedroom and on each level of your home, testing them monthly, and replacing them every 10 years.
The Fire Prevention Team will also be at the Muskoka Bears Junior C hockey game on October 12th, offering fire safety giveaways.
