Father-son duo bring home the bling from two Jiu-jitsu Championships
Huntsville’s Judo Jeff Allen and his son Lucas Allen recently returned from two major jiu-jitsu tournaments with impressive results. At the Great Lakes Open on August 10, Lucas Allen earned a silver medal in the ultra-heavy white belt division, while Jeff won gold in the ultra-heavy blue belt division. Jeff also competed in the Absolute division, where he claimed silver against a 2024 World jiu-jitsu silver medalist.
At the Aurora Annual Championships on August 17, Jeff excelled again, winning gold in the ultra-heavy division after defeating a 360-pound European champion twice.
He also took home the gold championship belt in the Absolute division, outlasting 26 competitors.
Additionally, Lucas Allen has been honored with the Mike Greaves Award, to be presented at this year’s Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame.
