Huntsville approves new townhouse development.
Huntsville’s planning council has given the green light for a 67-unit townhouse project on Gouldie Street. The approval allows developer to move forward with a standard condominium model, where unit owners will have private yards while roads and outdoor areas remain shared.
Concerns over traffic, density, and proximity to the railway were raised when the project was first introduced in February. Council ultimately approved the plan after impact studies and reports were completed. A fence will also be installed to reduce noise and dust during construction.
The developer says the town’s strong economy makes Huntsville an ideal place for growth, with homes expected to enter the market at around $700,000.
