Speeding Stop Leads to Seizure of a Massive Quantity of Cigarettes
O.P.P. charged a driver with speeding and possession of unmarked cigarettes after a traffic stop on Highway 69 near Magnetawan First Nation.
Police say officers pulled over a vehicle going 124 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone on Friday, and discovered approximately 50,000 unmarked cigarettes.
A 69-year-old from Thessalon now faces multiple charges, including possession of unmarked tobacco.
The accused is set to appear in court on July 15.
