Huntsville OPP deal with impaired & intimate partner violence cases last week
The Huntsville OPP report that they responded to 238 calls for service this past week, with impaired driving and intimate partner violence being key issues.
On Tuesday, November 12, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Etwell Road. The driver, 45-year-old Dathan Macmillan of Etobicoke, was arrested and charged with impaired driving, refusal to provide a breath sample, and driving without a license. His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and he faces a court appearance in Bracebridge on December 31.
On Wednesday, November 13, police were called to a Main Street West address where a man was reportedly threatening to kill his girlfriend. Officers arrested 35-year-old Joshua Godfrey of Huntsville, charging him with uttering threats, mischief, and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody, with a court date set for today.
The following day, November 14, officers responded to a similar report on Susan Street. Colin Hogan, 40, of Huntsville, was arrested for violating court orders and remains in custody, also facing a court appearance today.
