MAHC readies to submit its capital plan to the province to build new hospitals

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is moving forward with its Stage 1.3 capital redevelopment plan after receiving approval from its Board of Directors. This marks a significant step towards improving healthcare services in Muskoka and the surrounding areas.
The plan includes adding 10 more beds at the Bracebridge site, increasing the total to 46. This decision comes after extensive community feedback and consultation.
The submission to Ontario Health and the Ministry of Health is expected to be filed in early November, supported by a letter from 45 local physicians and endorsements from regional politicians.
The MAHC says the project aims to ensure that Muskoka’s healthcare needs are met for years to come.
