Youths cause thousands of dollars in damages during crime wave
Bracebridge O.P.P. have charged 3 local youths following a series of vandalism incidents that took place on Friday.
Police say officers responded to reports of mischief and property damage on Salmon Avenue, Manitoba Street, and McMurray Street, where victims reported smashed vehicles and significant damage at the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
On October 12, police spotted a stolen vehicle in Gravenhurst. The driver attempted to flee but got stuck, leading to a foot chase. With the help of the O.P.P. K-9 Unit and Emergency Response Team, police located the suspect.
A 15 year-old from Port Carling is facing multiple charges including 2 counts of mischief over $5000, theft of a motor vehicle, and obstructing a police officer. Two other 15 year-olds have also been identified and will face charges.
