Masks required when visiting MAHC
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is reintroducing mandatory masking in most hospital areas starting November 5th, due to the expected rise in flu, RSV, and COVID-19 cases this fall and winter.
The MAHC says masks will be required for patients and visitors in high-risk areas, including inpatient units, the Emergency Department, waiting areas, and outpatient services.
MAHC staff will also wear masks during patient interactions. President and CEO Cheryl Harrison emphasized that masks, along with hand hygiene and staying home when sick, are key to preventing the spread of respiratory viruses.
