New MLCC arena to open to the public on August 23rd
The Town of Bracebridge announced that while the new arena at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre will open for existing rentals this week, the municipality plans to open to the public on August 23rd, with a potential grand opening in October.
The new facility will replace the town's 70-year-old arena and 111-year-old library, and besides the new arena features an auditorium, library, and a multi-sport field house with a gym and track.
Additional amenities include a concession, playground, trails, and space for a future second arena. Town officials recently had a preview tour and praised the center's design, calling it a "generational project" that promises to impress the community.
