Pedestrian hit by OPP cruiser, dies of injuries

A pedestrian has died following a collision with an OPP cruiser in Bala. Police say the incident occurred early Sunday morning on Muskoka Road 169.
The 25-year-old male pedestrian was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The officer involved was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The OPP has reached out to victim services to support the pedestrian's family, and resources are being provided for the officer as well. The investigation is ongoing.
