Port Cunnngton Lodge raises $24K for local charities
Port Cunnington Lodge made a significant impact last month, hosting a Dinner & Concert that raised $24,000 for local charities and the repair of the Port Cunnington Seniors Centre's chair lift. Musicians Marc Jordan and Amy Sky performed, with funds equally benefiting the Lake of Bays Library, Dorset Health Hub, Lake of Bays Heritage Foundation, and the Seniors Centre.
General Manager John Siddall, alongside lodge owners Jack and Susy Wadsworth, spearheaded the event, aiming for it to be an annual tradition supporting community organizations.
Township of Lake of Bays Mayor Terry Glover commended their efforts, highlighting the event's community impact. The Muskoka Community Foundation facilitated the charitable proceeds through the Lake of Bays Community Fund, emphasizing collaboration with local partners like Port Cunnington Lodge and John Siddall."
