Sledder dies after head on collision

OPP are investigating a fatal head-on crash involving two snowmobiles on the ice at Lost Channel in Georgian Bay Township that claimed the life of one rider on Friday.
Emergency services responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:50 p.m. to the crash scene.
The involved drivers, one being a 52 year old male of Erin, Ontario was pronounced deceased at a nearby marina after an exhaustive three and half hour land based rescue by EMS through the bush, the other driver, a 50 year old male of Puslinch,Ontario was located near the crash scene and found to be uninjured.
