MAHC creates working groups focusing on key issues with new hospital plans
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), engaging with physicians, community groups, and political partners are gathering feedback on critical issues such as bed capacity, transportation, and community programming regarding the proposed hospital builds.
MAHC established three key working groups, including:
- A Bed Capacity Working Group that is evaluating and optimizing bed usage across North and South Muskoka.
- A Transportation Working Group that is working to improve patient access to healthcare services, and
- A Community Programming Working Group working to expand health programs in partnership with local organizations.
These groups are collaborating with the MAHC’s Capital Redevelopment Planning team to address local concerns. A Communications Advisory Table and a CEO Advisory Table are also being set up to refine communication strategies and provide feedback on redevelopment plans.
The MAHC plans to submit its proposals to the Ministry in November and is committed to keeping the community informed.
