YWCA's Women of Distinction Gala raises $33k for programming

The YWCA Muskoka's Women of Distinction Awards Gala brought together over 150 supporters on Saturday, marking its 19th year of recognizing outstanding women in the community. The event, held on International Women's Day, raised more than $33,000 to support the YWCA’s educational, advocacy, and leadership programs.
This year’s honorees included Tracy Nickles for Transforming Community, Britney Hammell as Young Woman of Distinction, Gayle Dempsey for Arts, Culture, and Creativity, and Sarah Roberts for Health, Sports, and Wellness. Leslie Tempest was recognized for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, while Beth Ward received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
