Bracebridge BIA cancels annual car show

The Father's Day Car Show, a Bracebridge tradition since 2008, was cancelled by the Bracebridge BIA yesterday.
After months of debate, the BIA Board cancelled the event due to rising costs and a lack of volunteers.
BIA manager Tracy Larkman says they have not identified a group that has the potential to take it on the event. said.
Due to its popularity, cancelling the car show proved a difficult decision, but, the cost of producing events, the large number of volunteers needed, and merchant input made the decision easier.
