Bracebridge Plans to Extend Bike Trails At BRMC
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) received an application from the Town of Bracebridge last week for the development of mountain bike trails at the Bracebridge Resource Management Centre (BRMC).
The town is inviting public comment on the proposal to develop new mountain bike trails that will involve the clearing and removal of leaf litter, vegetation, dead trees and deadfall to create a 1 metre wide trail, 1.2 kilometres in length. The town says the trail is an extension of an existing trail that will continue to meander through the forested area taking advantage of the natural topography providing an interesting and low impact route.
The Muskoka Off-Road Cycling Association (MORCA) will be responsible for trail creation at the Centre.
