A Bracebridge woman won over half a million dollars on April 22nd, winning “Ontario’s jackpot” – $654,526.10 – playing LOTTARIO.
Joyce Burns says she’s been a regular lottery player for many years. This is her first big win!
It was early in the morning when Joyce scanned her ticket on the OLG app. “I saw the words ‘Big Winner’ and didn’t believe it,” she recalled. “It was shocking!”
With her winnings, Joyce plans to pay some bills and invest. She’s also considering going on vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at Stevens’ Your Independent Grocer on Wellington Street in Bracebridge.
