District names new members of OPP oversight boards
The District of Muskoka has named community members to new oversight OPP Detachment Boards, following council approval at their July 15 meeting.
Fred Landry and Pauline Meunier will represent Lake of Bays and Huntsville on the Huntsville OPP committee, accompanied by District Chair Jeff Lehman and Lake of Bays' Mayor Terry Glover.
Michael Brady, Myra Levy, and Kara Wanoth will represent Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, and Muskoka Lakes respectively on the Bracebridge OPP board. They join District Chair Jeff Lehman, Chief Rhonda Williams-Lovett from Moose Deer Point First Nation, and local mayors.
District Clerk Amy Back noted high community interest with 19 applications for Huntsville and 13 for Bracebridge, emphasizing the temporary nature of appointments until after the 2026 municipal elections.
