Man charged with firearms offenses

A Parry Sound man is facing firearms charges after police responded to a threats complaint.
Police say just after midnight on Friday, officers were called to Albert Street, where they discovered a man carrying a handgun. He was arrested at the scene.
51-year-old Gregory Stonner has been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
He remains in custody and is set to appear in Court of Justice on March 14th.
