Eva Olsson, a Bracebridge citizen, speaker, and Holocaust survivor, was one of 53 people honoured during a ceremony appointing them a Member of the Order of Canada at Rideau Hall yesterday.
The Governor General says Olsson inspired others to stand up to hatred and discrimination.
She was awarded the honour in December 2021, but no ceremony was organized due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
