Firefighter recruitment campaign underway in Huntsville

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is launching its annual volunteer firefighter recruitment campaign, with applications open today through to November 30th.
An information session will take place at Station 1 Huntsville on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 p.m. The department has responded to 824 calls this year, underscoring the need for dedicated volunteers.
Deputy Fire Chief Paul Calleja highlights the benefits, including compensation for training and opportunities for professional development.
Attendees can learn about the application process and ask questions about joining the team.
