
Hit the streets for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser
Two local organizations are gearing up for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser being held on February 25th.
The Table Soup Foundation and Gravenhurst Against Poverty as asking you to help the less fortunate among us, people who are hungry, or homeless.
Organizers say thirty-three thousand Canadians have nowhere to call home. They're homeless, sleeping on streets, in cars, in abandoned buildings, or in shelters.
Huntsville and Gravenhurst are two of 150 cities across the country, participating in this year's Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser.
The event is a two and five-kilometre walk that raises funds and awareness for The Table Foodbank, and Gravenhurst Against Poverty – two organizations serving people experiencing hunger, hurt and homelessness in the community.
