Hoyas Robotics Team needs funding to go to World Championships
The Huntsville Hoya Robotics team won the North Bay tournament last month and are now ranked 10th in the province and competing at the provincial championships starting tomorrow.
The top 23 teams will be invited to the world championships and while they say they have the logistics figured out, their challenge is the cost.
The team say that travelling to Texas to compete is not cheap and they have a fundraiser in place that would allow the entire team to compete at provincials and worlds if they reach their goal.
The team says even if we don't reach our goal they can help reduce the individual cost for students.
They are currently at 10% of their goal of $50,000
