Huntsville launches survey on new development, height and density in urban areas

The Town of Huntsville report they are launching a survey to gather community input on "Significant Views" in urban areas. Running from October 24 to November 22, the survey aims to create criteria for evaluating development proposals with increased height and density.
Richard Clark, Manager of Planning, emphasized that public feedback is essential as Huntsville addresses rising housing demands, while Councillor Bob Stone stressed the need to balance growth with preserving the town's character.
The town says the survey marks the first step in a broader planning effort, with more community engagement planned before final guidelines are presented to Council.
