LOB changes insurance providers following concerns from residents over Road License Agreement

Lake of Bays Mayor Terry Glover announced that the municipality has switched insurance providers while reviewing its road licensing agreement, at October’s council meeting.
The announcement follows concerns from property owners who voiced objection about costs related to surveys, licensing fees, and insurance for driveways crossing township land, to limit liability for the municipality.
Glover assured residents that a review is in progress and emphasized that the township is actively addressing the issue.
Staff are still evaluating feedback from a recent public meeting and will present their recommendations at a future session.
