MAHC once again celebrated for organ and tissue donation

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare announced that it has been recognized for the second consecutive year by Ontario Health for its exceptional work in organ and tissue donation. This fall, MAHC received the Hospital Achievement Award for achieving a remarkable 100% conversion rate for potential organ donors from April 2023 to March 2024.
This means every patient deemed suitable for donation became an actual donor, helping to save lives. Seven tissue donors also contributed, enhancing the lives of many.
Currently, nearly 1,400 people in Ontario are waiting for life-saving organ transplants.
