Muskoka Lakes seeks input on Short Term Rentals
The Township of Muskoka Lakes is considering the regulation of Short Term Rental Accommodations and has released the draft of the new licensing by-law for public review.
A virtual public meeting is being held on Feb. 13 at 9 a.m., both online and at the municipal office in Port Carling, and will discuss the proposed by-law.
If approved, it mandates licensing for all short-term rental operators, introducing a demerit point system for violations, leading to license suspension at 15 points.
The full draft is available on EngageMuskokaLakes.ca.
Members of the public are invited to review a draft By-law and provide input.
