One person transported to hospital after kitchen fire

At around 11:39a.m. on February 14, the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Fighters responded to a structure fire on North Waseosa Lake Road in Huntsville. Crews from Station 1 Huntsville and Station 3 Hillside, including 20 firefighters and five trucks, responded to the fire.
The Fire Dept. says that when they arrived, they discovered a working fire in the kitchen. Fire crews acted quickly to contain the fire and avoid the flames spreading to other parts of the home. The fire was extinguished and one person was transported to hospital.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has been contacted and will be conducting an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
