O.P.P. dealing with surge of impaired drivers in Bracebridge

Bracebridge O.P.P. reported a surge in impaired driving charges last week, with their fourth arrest in just over a week.
On Thursday at 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a public tip about a vehicle swerving on Highway 11 North. After a thorough search, they found the car on Ecclestone Drive and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, a 57 year-old Bracebridge woman, was arrested for refusing to comply with a breath demand.
She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 12 to answer to the charge.
