RIDE check ends in firearms charges
Police (OPP) have charged an individual as a result of a motor vehicle checked during a RIDE program.
OPP say that on Monday, June 3, 2024 shortly after 11:30 pm, officers were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Highway 118 and Glamorgan Road in Dysart et Al.
A vehicle was stopped which contained cannabis readily available to the driver. Further investigation by officers resulted in the seizure of three firearm.
As a result of investigation, 37 years old Michael Green, of Bobcaygeon has been charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on August 7, 2024
