Two incidents of women being followed concerning for police
The Haliburton Highlands OPP are currently investigating two separate incidents where females have been followed or approached by unknown males.
Police say the incidents occurred between April 25 and May 9, in Minden and in Haliburton.
On Tuesday, April 25, at 4:00 p.m., a female who was driving from Haliburton to Minden believed that a gold-coloured cube van was following her. The driver went to the Haliburton Highlands OPP Detachment as a place of safety, at which point the van left the area. No description of the driver was obtained in this incident.
Then on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., a white pickup truck followed a female pedestrian in Haliburton. The male driving the vehicle asked her if she wanted to make money. The male was described as having a darker complexion, spoke with a heavy accent, and was wearing a dirty grey track suit. The male exited the vehicle and followed the female on foot for a brief period.
