Gravenhurst declares State of Emergency

From the Town of Gravenhurst:
The Town of Gravenhurst declared a state of emergency earlier today due to substantial snowfall in the community and the prolonged closure of Highway 11.
We again want to remind people to stay home. Please avoid travel by foot or car. 
Unnecessary travel means you risk getting stuck and requiring assistance. 
Road cleanup continues and will until further notice. This will take time but plows will get to you. 
We thank all our staff and contractors helping with snow removal. 
We thank first responders for all their efforts. 
Please check on our your next-door neighbours if you can to make sure they are OK. 
We are a great community with a long history of working together in the face of adversity and we will get through this.
